We have expanded, adding Star Power Group, our business consultancy which unites our commitment and extensive experience working with businesses, vendors, and supplier diversity initiatives. We are dedicated to providing excellent business services to our clients.

Renee Sandford, Founder and CEO

Renee Sandford brings more than 20 years of experience in business development, project and event management. A true integrator, she has a natural ability to bring businesses and organizations together for mutually beneficial and lasting partnerships. She is dedicated to education and helping minority owned businesses and suppliers succeed. She launched Star Power Group & Associates to continue to serve the small business community, filling the gap in services she witnessed throughout her career. 

Before launching Star Power Group & Associates, Renee was the chairperson of the Capital Region Minority Supplier  Development Council (CRMSDC), Community Service Committee, for MD/DC/VA where she was also the Program and  Events Manager. In that role Renee was responsible for program execution of policy adherence, event registration,  budget forecasting, planning, contract negotiation, and coordination. She exceeded revenue goals for the Annual Gala  Awards ceremonies and annual meetings. Renee led the planning, coordination, and execution of regularly scheduled  status meetings with clients and stakeholders. She recruited and trained volunteers for every event.
